OUR FIRST VIRTUAL CONFERENCE!
What a year 2020 has been! At Lily, we haven’t let the pandemic dampen our culture, we have adapted well to home working and ensured to have lots of virtual fun throughout the year.
On Thursday last week we hosted our first virtual conference, an exciting and monumental moment. It was a busy day and full of great content, we created 40 videos and 139 slides for the event!
The run up to the event
We wanted to create a ‘hype’ and get everyone excited, as they would normally be. Virtual events generally have a boring stigma attached to them – we wanted our event to be bigger and better than last year. Running up to the Conference we asked people to vote for their colleagues for our annual awards, we created a poll to find out what their favourite part of the conference is, and we shared the theme of the day. We also delivered Christmas hampers full of contents for the event and treats to be used afterwards as a thank you for everyone’s hard work and contribution.
The day before the event
Due to the success of our Conference last year, we recruited an AV company to manage our virtual conference. The day before consisted of choosing presets and finalising the running order, so we were all ready for the big day!
The day of the event
Lights, camera, action! What a great day, it was amazing to put a show on for our fantastic team at home.
We got everyone laughing, reminiscing about great times this year (it’s not been all doom and gloom) and most of all celebrating our success, we recognised 20 employees’, all receiving awards for their fantastic achievements.
