LILY'S 1ST VIRTUAL CHARITY DAY
Last Friday was Lily’s 1st virtual Charity day and we are very pleased to report that the day was a huge success, raising a massive £3,620 in total!
Supporting charities has always been extremely important to Lily and fundraising days generally happen bi-monthly. Even in lockdown this wasn’t going to change! Several people in the business got to work and organised a Charity day with a twist – online activities only to stay within the stay at home guidelines.
In light of the inspirational work which is happening across the country from our NHS and key workers within this unprecedented time, we decided on the fancy dress theme of superheroes and villains.
As for every other Charity day, lots of fun activities were scheduled but this time over Collaborate, a video conferencing software we use at Lily. The spectacular Charity day consisted of a virtual quiz, endurance challenges, best dressed awards, a raffle and auction with goods from our fantastic suppliers and Lily. It didn’t stop there, there were even donations for Team Lily members to have a COVID-19 headshave, all in the name of Charity!
Due to the impact of Coronavirus on our local community we have decided to donate the £1,850 to Leeds food banks, NHS charities and the creation of PPE equipment. We hope we have enjoyed reading about our Charity day and inspired you to organise a virtual event in aid of supporting people in need at this time. It was great to see everyone having fun and really getting on board with the theme and donating to Charity, what a phenomenal day - thanks Team Lily!
