HOW LILY ARE CELEBRATING TIME TO TALK DAY
With 1 in 4 of us experiencing a mental health problem in any given year, it's never been more important to talk, in light of the circumstances we find ourselves in.
The coronavirus pandemic has brought hardship on so many people across the globe, in so many different ways from grief, job losses, loneliness to mental health problems.
At Lily, we think it's important to remember mental health affects us all, and we should feel like we are able to talk about it. That’s why we have made an extra effort this year to include activities which enable us to relax and talk to our colleagues about how we are feeling.
The day started with a yoga session, where colleagues could take 30 minutes out of their morning, before work, to find their inner zen! Yoga is a great way to start off your morning, taking away any anxieties or thoughts you may have before the day.
Throughout the day we are running Zoom sessions where our MD, Chris Morrisey is taking the whole business out of their working day for two hours to see how people are feeling, if they have any questions, to talk them through January’s performance and celebrate the successes of last month.
In true Lily style we love a social event, and we haven’t let lockdown get in the way of this, on the flip side we have got together more! Virtual events are a huge part of Lily Life and we are pleased to say our Lily team are now organising their own events and fully getting into the spirit of it. This evening we are partaking in a cook along on Zoom, hopefully cooking up a storm in our kitchens (Well, a Chicken Tikka Masala – the nation’s favourite curry!) Keep a watch on our social channels for some photos of our curry creations!
We hope you have a great Time to Talk Day, remember a small conversation about mental health has the power to make a big difference.
